Established in 2022 by Ms Suchismita Das, Pragnya Charitable Trust, works towards making the world a better place for all the people who face hurdles in life and need help to overcome that.

Perseverance School is a school for the children with autism. established in 2016, by Suchismita Das and Aashish Anand in Sahakara Nagar, Bangalore it has secured a name for itself in the field of special education. In these years it has not only catered to the needs of children with autism but also extended hands to hold the hands of parents who needed support to rear the child.

In our dedication to inclusivity, Perseverance School reserves 20% of seats for economically backward children. These reserved seats come with a scholarship that provides a concession on tuition fees. We firmly believe in creating opportunities for every child to access transformative education, regardless of financial constraints2

Dr. Das’s impact extends beyond academia. Her dedication to workshops and teacher training has left an indelible mark on the educational landscape. She has conducted numerous parent workshops, arming parents with invaluable knowledge and strategies to support their children. Additionally, her professional development sessions have empowered over 100 educators, carefully trained in small, specialized batches, turning them into invaluable resource persons who continue to perpetuate Dr. Das’s legacy of excellence.

Aashish Anand, a BITS Pilani alum, is a software engineer and social entrepreneur committed to fostering positive change. As the founder of Perseverance Special School, Aashish integrates social responsibility into education, creating an inclusive environment beyond traditional norms.

With extensive experience working with children with special needs, Aashish’s leadership at Perseverance Special School goes beyond academics, emphasizing support and empowerment for every student. He stays current with the latest insights by completing a specialized certificate course focused on learning difficulties.

Aashish actively engages with the community, organizing workshops, seminars, and outreach programs. This collective effort raises awareness and advocates for the rights of individuals with special needs, contributing to a more inclusive society.

Srivaishnavi, our Head of School and a devoted trustee member at Perseverance, blends a diverse educational background, including Engineering, a Master’s in Psychology, and a PGD in Special Education. Her journey reflects a profound passion for understanding and supporting children.

Transitioning from the corporate world, Srivaishnavi is driven by a deep desire to actively contribute to children’s development. Focused on fostering holistic growth, she envisions each child evolving into an independent, content adult, enjoying equal opportunities.

Within Perseverance, Srivaishnavi leads with an unwavering commitment. Her mission is clear — ensuring every child, regardless of challenges, receives the care and resources needed to thrive. At the core is the creation of a joyful environment where each child’s unique potential is recognized and nurtured.

In essence, Srivaishnavi is dedicated to shaping an educational landscape where every child, irrespective of differences, has the opportunity to flourish. Joining Perseverance means becoming part of an environment devoted to providing nurturing and inclusive spaces, empowering each child to reach their full potential under her leadership.

Sanchita Das is a seasoned and devoted educator, bringing a wealth of experience to her teaching career, which spans several years. She has been actively involved in instructing students in English (SL) from grades VII to XII. Her commitment goes beyond the classroom, as she has played a significant role in school administration, serving as a member of the Managing Committee for 12 years and contributing as the secretary of the Academic Council. Demonstrating leadership skills, she has handled administrative responsibilities, including student registration and teacher approval, effectively serving as the second in command after the Headmaster. Sanchita has also demonstrated her supervisory skills by successfully overseeing the Madhyamik (10th) Board Examination as a Venue Supervisor, taking charge as the Head Examiner for the Higher Secondary (+2) examination in West Bengal and condacting teachers’ training as the Key Resource Person organisddy by the Govt of W. B.

During her developmental years as a teacher, she taught English as a first language, while handling the responsibilities of a a House Mother, organizing annual programs and guiding students in various co-curricular activities.

Sanchita holds a Masters in English with a specialization in English Literature, focusing on poetry from Old English to Modern English periods. She holds a B.Ed degree and has pursued certifications in French from Alliance Francaise and Photography from a premier photography Institute in Kolkata.

Beyond her professional achievements, Sanchita has actively engaged in social causes, demonstrating a deep understanding of the challenges faced by learners in semi-rural areas. Her involvement with NGOs reflects her commitment to supporting promising but needy children. Sanchita has participated in various fundraising activities and volunteered her time and skills to create study materials for students at a school for children with autism.

What truly touches Sanchita’s heart is her ability to make a positive impact on the lives of neurodiverse children. Witnessing the transformative changes and the joy that learning brings to these individuals is not just a professional accomplishment but a deeply personal and fulfilling experience for her. In addition to her teaching and social endeavors, Sanchita has cultivated co-curricular experiences, earning accolades in Fine Arts, progressing in Indian Classical Music, and obtaining certificates in Flower Arrangement and Social Media Marketing.
